Below is a list of course that are available in the evening.
Please note that not ALL classes will be offered every trimester.

Beginning Windows

Learn the fundamental computer skills you need to succeed in today’s workplace or home computing! This is a fast-paced study of the most common applications found on computers today. Basic to intermediate coverage of Windows XP and how to use the software that comes with new computers. Basic Keyboarding is the key to learning your computer and is a major part of this course. 

MOS - Microsoft Office Specialist

The Microsoft Office Specialist curriculum is designed to provide the student with the skill and ability to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in the various programs designated by MOS.  Certification test will be offered at the facility once the student has successfully completed the course.

MOS Word

This course covers topics such as preparing business letters and memos, formatting and creating short reports, designing flyers and working with desktop publishing.  Microsoft Word is used primarily for word processing.
Prerequisite beginning Windows

MOS Excel

This course covers topics such as using formulas and functions, formatting cells, working with dates and text features, creating charts, working with large worksheets, and introducing templates and graphics.  Excel can be used to keep track of personal finances and calculate and present data.  Excel skills can be applied in may areas.

Beginning Excel

Beginning Microsoft Excel covers topics such as using formulas and functions, formatting cells, working with dates and text features, creating charts, working with large worksheets, and introducing templates and graphics. Excel can be used to keep track of personal finances and calculate and present data. Excel skills can be applied in many areas.

Beginning Word

Beginning Word covers topics such as preparing business letters and memos, formatting and creating short reports, designing flyers and working with desktop publishing. Microsoft Word is used primarily for word processing. Prerequisite- Keyboarding no space.

AutoCAD

FUNDAMENTALS AND APPLICATION:

This course provides complete instruction in mastering AutoCAD commands and drawing techniques. Applications are presented with basic and advanced concepts. Students must have prior exposure to: Microsoft Windows as well as a working knowledge of drafting principles

AutoCAD Architectural:

This course is an introduction to provide the student with the basic understanding of applying the principles of AutoCAD technology to architectural drawing.

Inventor 11:

This course is an introduction to Inventor commands, options, and techniques in a sequence matching the design process of real-world products.

Microsoft Certified Professional MCP

This course follows the Microsoft requirements necessary to prepare a student to test for the MCP certification. Three basic core areas are taught, Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 – Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 –Installing, Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

This course follows the Microsoft requirements necessary to prepare a student to test for the MSCP certification. Four core area dealing with networking systems, one core area on client operating systems and one core area on design followed by one elective. Once certified MCSE's design and implement an infrastructure solution that is based on the Windows operating system and Microsoft Windows Server System software.

Beginning Web Design

This course will provide the student with the basic understanding and knowledge to create and maintain a website. Topic include; animation, theme design, links, use of software. At the conclusion of the course the student will have created his or her own personal website.

Intermediate Web Design

This course takes our student to the next level of web design. Students will utilize FIREWORKS software to create their own animations and design to enhance their personal website.  If you are looking to set your website apart form the rest, this the course for you!  Prerequisite: Beginning Web Design or equivalent

Power Point

This course will provide the student with the basic knowledge and skill necessary to develop a presentation using Power Point.

Computers: Buying – Managing & Maintaining

Are you considering buying a new computer?  But, you’re not sure what’s the best one for the money that will meet your needs?  It can be confusing.  Are you new to computers and Windows?  Would you like to learn the basics, and little more than that in Plain English?  In this practical, but relaxed course, you’ll learn such things as:

    Exploring the Windows Operating System and Identifying and Using Window elements.
    How to keep your computer maintained and running like new.
    How to Create, Name, and Save a Document in the Correct Folder and how to retrieve it.
    Folder and File Management includes creating Folders and Folder Organization.

    How to Safely surf the Internet, Sending E-mail, and Attaching Photos and Documents.

    Short-Cut Keys!, everybody wants to know and how to use Short-Cut Keys!

    How to tell if I have enough memory (in your PC of course), how do I make Back-ups?
    What’s the best anti-virus software?  Are the free ones any good?
    How do I protect my computer and data from lightning, crashes, etc.?
    What software do I need and what’s the best way to install it?
    What do I do first when my Computer and Windows Crashes!?
